Dr. Ryan Bradley Sondergard is a highly accomplished psychiatrist with extensive experience in the field of mental health. He is currently serving as a psychiatrist at Dayton Ohio VA. Dr. Sondergard completed his post-graduate medical education in adult psychiatry at Saint Louis University and holds a doctorate in osteopathic medicine from A.T. Still University-KCOM. He is also board certified in psychiatry and holds a permanent medical license in the State of Missouri. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Sondergard has previous been involved in several co-curricular activities such as The Advanced Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program at Saint Louis Psychoanalytic Institute. He is a strong advocate for mental health and has established the Dr. Ryan Sondergard Scholarship for Mental Health Professionals to recognize and support individuals dedicated to the field.
The Dr. Ryan Sondergard Scholarship for Mental Health Professionals is an annual scholarship for individuals who are passionate about mental health and committed to making a positive impact in the field. In order to apply for the scholarship, interested candidates are required to submit an essay answering the question: “Discuss a pressing challenge currently faced by the mental health profession and propose an innovative solution to effectively address it.” and future aspirations related to mental health. The essay should be no more than 1,000 words and submitted via email using the instructions provided on the scholarship website.
The essay will be evaluated by a panel of mental health professionals and the recipient of the scholarship will be chosen based on the quality of their essay and their demonstrated commitment to the field of mental health.
